Wishes

Last night, we welcomed the new year with a creative new discovery ... "flying wish paper!" Here's how it works:

First you write down your wishes or prayers for the new year

Then you roll your special wish paper around a pencil

And carefully place it on the "wish platform" which in this case just happens to be sitting on mom's laptop on mom and dad's bed!

Next, you light the wish paper on fire ... which is a little disconcerting when it is balanced on a wish platform which happens to be sitting on mom's laptop on mom and dad's bed!


This is the point where you hold your breath because the fire is getting really close to mom's computer ...

but then the magic happens! Your wish FLIES up into the air ...

... and the little wish "shell" floats gently back down to earth while your wish has been safely delivered to the heavens.
